Miriam+Tim // City Hall

These two sweet lovebirds, came to me as they were planning their wedding, and I knew we would hit it off, as they were very open and obviously excited about working with me.  I love when a couple has taken the time to get to know my work, and can tell that we are a good match for working together.  They were so gracious and sweet and that goes such a long way, when you know there are so many options available these days.  It's truly an honor to be able to work with people who are kind and excited to be a part of the creative process, and I can't thank these two enough for being so easy to work with! We had a really lovely day, while I captured this intimate moment between the two of them at City Hall, and continued our way to some nearby locations for some lovely portraits.  How gorgeous is Miriam's porcelain skin, highlighted by the ever talented Morgan Gates, who Miriam raved about!  I knew they were nervous about being photographed, but soon they got into the groove and we were on our merry way!  I love that amazing red installation that served as the perfect backdrop to Miriam's red shoes and bouquet that Tim so kind put together for her!  We also made our way to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge for some classic moments between the two of them.

Congrats!

Jen+Dan // Engagement

 This is Jen and Dan.

A majorly vibrant and gorgeous couple that just ooze LOVE and creativity.  She an art historian he a classically trained pianist, currently touring the world!  We shot these just before his trip to Shanghai, and just before it got too cold for this to be as gorgeous as it is!  The thing about this shoot, is that we had never met in person before, and it is the perfect example of how much trust is such a big part of the recipe!! For me this shoot was everything.  It's about how much you have to be fearless in your creativity as well as in love, and sharing your love.  These two just jumped right in, and it's not only a testament to who they are individually, but to the love and trust they obviously share, and were able to translate to our experience on the shoot.  This day, was completely unplanned, and we just walked.  We walked and found amazing light with amazing locations, and perfect moments!!  The moment Jen jumped up on that cement platform, I knew it was on!  I love spontaneity, and the ability to go with the flow! From there we walked towards China town and found this completely unromantic produce stand, that would otherwise be overlooked, but that moment was just perfect.  That light kills me, and I love that it is such a banal and easily overlooked location which somehow translated to a bit of a cinematic moment with these two.  I highly encourage couples to do engagement shoots, and this is why!!  Thank you Jen and Dan for your trust, and sharing your awesome energy with me!!  Oh, yes, and her ring!! That gorgeous masterpiece of a raw diamond looks like a little sculpture, which screams that Dan thinks she is the most unique beautiful woman in the world.  He worked with the designer to create this custom look just for his special lady!  Good job!
