Guest of the Wedding shoot with Winifred Bean

Guest of a Wedding from Courtney Arcese on Vimeo.

This shoot is so so super special to me, as it incorporates many elements that make me love what I do! I love a good collaboration, as well as amazing people to work with, and a nice color palette to tie it all together! This shoot was inspired by Angela from Winifred Bean's new clutch collection. She wanted to showcase her collection in a more editorial way, so we got together with a few other awesome people, and put together a little story about a Guest of a Wedding. Being a guest is an art unto itself, with your own presentation, as well as a thoughtful note and a special gift for your lovely host and hostess of the event! It's something that gets overlooked, and we thought this would be a great way to tell a short story about the Guest of the Wedding!

As Angela put it best, "Our inspiration was a Chic Brit girl marries Southern folk crooner in the country with all their fabulous and “elegantly disheveled" friends. These friends are artsy, chic and like things classic and handmade. Our outfits are inspired by a casual outdoor wedding attire “dressed up” and made special with funky/upscale accessories."

Not only did we put together this beautiful shoot, Courtney from Love+Brain films made the sweetest video to accompany the story!

Sara+Somer // Top of the Garden

This is Sara and Somer, one of the sweetest and shyest couples I worked with all summer!  I have to say it's been a very full and wild year, with so many different projects and places and people!  I love being able to share images from the variety of people and places that I come into contact with, and Sara is what I consider to be a classic bride!  She is remarkably  sweet which is always a  breath of fresh air in this city!! I loved working with her, and seeing how she brought this modern romance to life at Top of the Garden.  When I showed up to photograph getting ready, she was all ready, minus the dress!  I couldn't believe how prepared and organized she was, which made it even easier to work with her.  She was so calm and sweet, and I'm happy to have worked with her and her new husband Somer!  Thanks so much for having me!
